I have a Magnum 257 that works perfect when warm.
The problem is when I first turn it on cold, The volume stays at full scale until it's warm.(About 15 min's.)Turning the pot does'nt help. Any ideas? Sincerly, Ice Pick

I believe this was a normal problem with some of these radios. I would contact RF limited and see if they will replace the pot.

Buck

You are absolutely right. This is a problem that has plagued the M-257.

Icepick. RF Limited will replace it for free if you send them the radio or, if you wish to repair it yourself, they will send you a new control for free.
