I've got a Mongoose 450 , wilson 1000 mag mount, and Palomar elite 225 I was wondering if there were any tweaks for the radio, and how to adjust the amp to the radio, and or what you think the best radio , ant and amp would be. I'd like a radio with ssb capabilities as well as a freq counter for the channels and good ant to match Thanks in advance

You've got a pretty good set up. I don't know too much about that radio, but the box I know. I own one of those too. The only thing I hate about them is the slow delay when you unkey on AM. I have a pic of the mod for it if you'd like it. Email me at skullman858@yahoo.com and I'll send it to ya. As for the Wilson ant, you can't go wrong with a Wilson. Have you looked at Wilson's web page? It's full of information, technical stuff, and new Wilson products. Check it out, it's worth it.
