307 & Anyone Else,

Here is a problem.. I got this galaxy DX88HL in to be serviced at my shop 2 weeks ago and just now found the problem.. I am going to see if anyone can figure it out faster than I did.

Galaxy DX-88HL... Comes in, radio performs excellent and is rock solid on frequency, however:

Frequency Counter displays only 8's in all digits. Removing CN3 and reinstalling displays correct frequency on counter but does not change with changing channel...

I know the answer to this one now... Let's see if anyone can guess right.

The clock generator for the counter is not running. Is it the old or new style counter?
