plain jane radio shack radio,generic through the trunk ant. mount,generic base load ant., on a 1996 crown vic.-bad fuel pump noise and some alt. noise.tried radio power supply filter-no change. went straight to the battery with the wires-no change.unplugged ant. from radio- all noise gone. i think the noise it coming in through the ant.- any ideas? i have run out. also grounded the radio chassie-no change

Take the radio noise filter off the radio and put it in line with hot wire going to fuel pump. Get it as close as you safely can to the pump. Ford's are notorius? for fuel pump noise. Again be very careful while working around the gas tank...KABOOM!!!
