ok, I just picked one of these up last night, wired it this morning and Now I have a problem.
Wired it for 5 pin Cobra/ Uniden. Problem is I have no modulation. I tried using the battery out of my mobile pwr. mic (didn't work, batt is still good but no workee); Yes, I tried talking into the mic and turning the pot on the bottom No change.
Any ideas anyone???

Thanks

Sg569,

DOUBLE check your wiring.

It Should be:

PIN #1 ~ WHITE
PIN #2 ~ SHIELD
PIN #3 ~ BLACK
PIN #4 ~ BLUE
PIN #5 ~ RED
YELLOW N/C

Then check your Volume Control on the Bottom of the mic to make sure it is not off.

If it is an older mic you may also need to clean the contacts on the piano switches in the base of the mic if it has not been used for awhile.

Also try a New Battery.

Hope this helps,

Lon

I shall and thank you, Lon.

I turned the volume both ways when testing it; did not clean the switches( mic does key the radio.) I'll keep trying, and thanks again.
