this is to tech181 or anyone that can help , i bought a mirage 2950 and did the conversion myself . i would like to know where i can find a jumper for the other two pins so i can have more frequencies. if anyone can help ,,,, please. thankyou , scott |

You could solder a jumper across the two pins as a last resort. Just a suggestion.

hello tech 181 i just sent you another email to copper because i didnt see this reply . if i solder a wire (jumper) what size wire do i use. should it be insulated or big enough to with stand heat or dont the pins get warm. and do you know if i can by just a jumper from you guys or a radio store. thanks again . scott. P>S keep up the good work you do a great job at helping all of us out . also another ? what ranger or rci base station radio would be the most logical to by for a base station . which ones can be converted like the 2950 mobile can be . i dont want to solder a jumper in the base if i dont have to . i would like to find a radio that has alot of out put and is as easy as moving a jumper. thanks again for your help. scott |

Use a jumper as small of wire that you can get. Remember not to use "to" much heat on it when soldering , Just enough to flow the solder.

Can you use one of those black clips that are on computer mother boards? If so you can find those at computer shows cheap.

A cordless telephone battery terminal makes a good jumper. Just cut the leads and leave a inch or so of the wires so you can solder them together and heat shrink them. I used that one my Galaxy 22 -B years ago and works fine.
I am still needing talkback in my General Grant(its like the Ranger 6300 & 6900 series) Thanks guys |
