Gentlemen:
My top one exhibits 39 Ohms resistance with a 9 ohm reactive component. The SWR never falls below 1:1.3. I understand this is par. Has anyone ever attempted to add a tuning device AT THE ANTENNA? I can, of course, hide the mismatch with my antenna tuner. |

Or you can do like i did and beef up the two radials by using heavier aluminum and doubleing it up. I did this and it made mine stong as heck and able to stand strong winds... I also made mine tuneable by adding the overlapped tubing and am able to adjust my SWRS down to a 1.1 match,,,, |

If it's under 2.1 don't worry about it. That is still very good swr. It just sounds bad.

I didn't mean the antenna sounds bad but the fact that the meter reads 2.1. Really very little loss in the scope of things. I think we all sweat too much over little matters. I know I have.

An update on this one. Be sure the coax you use is very good grade. Distance from ground can change restance in the antenna. My experiences were very positive low to the ground. Thumbs up to this antenna. In fact, any of the antennas copper sells along with a good coax makes a great choice. The one I like best is the Imax, but I've said that about 20 times already.
