Hi I would like to know what is the total length of the skylab antenna. I saw that it said 5500 mm, would that be 1000*5.5 = 5 1/2 feet. Also what is the totla weight.

Mike V,
The antenna, including the ground plane radials is around 16 feet. Without the ground planes it is 9 feet. It weighs less than the A-99.

i wrote 3 weeks ago about problems with my new t233. it,s up now and it sure works great, swr,s are dead flat even with the linear on. it seems to have much better ears than my a-99 did.what i,d like to know is how many watts it can take. also, what,s up with astatic, i can,t buy a d104 of any kind ,my silver eagles about worn out. anyway thanks to the forum for help .brad |

well, they came out with a silver saloute that are nicknamed the stop sign.
I like turner mikes myself. I like the turner super sidekick. The turner +2 and +3 are also excellent. Other people on the forum could give you their opinions but there is mt .2 cents.

Look on eBay. I baught one new in a box for
$64.00. Since Astatic stopped making them, I have seen alot more for sale, and the price has gone up. Ya never know, you might get lucky. |

i went on ebay and bid on a turner +3 and a sbe desk mike and got them both for$41.50. good idea this ebay thing is and kinda fun too. brad |

This deal with people and CB shops hiking up the prices on the D 104s is total and 100% ••••! They will be around for a long, long, time long after they have been axed by astatic. I see them used all over the place in CB shops, garage sales, and pawn shops all the time so they wont go away anytime soon ill bet! Just another way the CB retail shops and the guys on Ebay go to make $$$ off of poor suckers that fall for the "they are getting rare" song and dance... Its no wonder why ive gotten a attutude towards the buisness end of CB altogether as a whole in the last 5 years or so.. everyone is out to rip off another guy.. |
