Hey 307 its me, Roger from Kentucky. On July 31 I spoke to you about my Uniden Grant XL that would not transmit on AM, but would on sideband. Your answer to this problem was that the AM power regulator was blown and you gave me a part number of 2SC1419 and said it was located on the left side near the back. That info. made me a happy camper! So off I go to the radio shop to get this repair made. I taped your info. to the top of my radio so the tech could see this. Weeks have past and the tech calls and says after much effort he has come to the conclusion that the number does not exist in my radio. His suggestion is a part number change. I hate to ask, but could you give me the Q number on the board so that this part could be found? One person wrote in and posted that the part I was looking for was a 2SD1135 located on the back of the radio bolted in the middle, so I passed the info. along and the part was changed and no luck. The tech admits he has not ever worked on a radio like this and knows little about it. But he said with your info. on a Q number he said he would learn something and please me as well. So I ask again, What! is the Q# for this am power reg. I thank you and the local tech as well.
