I just recently bought one from copper. I was wondering which pots etc. I need to tune it.

Does anyone know where I can get some info on this radio?

Me either. I traced what I could of the radio and found one of the inductors and D11 was the modulation for it. I am all set for now, but thank you for looking.

b1kshad0w,

If D11 was the mod limiter, that radio may use the same board as the Cobra 29 classic. D11 is the mod limiter in that radio. If it is D11 should be (looking at the front of the radio) almost near the back on the right. Let me know. VR4 (mod pot) should be just to the left and rear of D11.

I'll try that. I'd rather use the mod pot. removing a leg on the diode was a last resort. I didn't really want to go wild and start turning all the pots.

YEP! Thanks! I soldered D11 back in and tryed it and it worked. I didn't want to wildly go in turning pots and mess up all the calibrations of the radio. Now if I only had a scope...

b1kshad0w,

Well if you think it's the same board as the Cobra 29 Classic here is the adjustments for it.

VR4 -- Mod
L14,L16,L17,L20,l21 -- AM Power
VR1 -- RX Gain
VR2 -- RX Meter
VR3 -- Squelch
VR5 -- TX Power Light
VR6 -- Antenna Warning Light
D11 -- Mod Limiter
L11 is a TVI trap don't mess with it.
