I haven't received my radio yet, but I was wondering what pin number supplied power to the mic? And how many volts it is. Has anyone ever "power" wired a Silver Eagle with this radio? |

if you "read" for voltage on the pins, you will see there is B+(8VDC i think) on one of them.(i can't recall which one now).BUT ,when you key(transmit) it seems to cancel out the voltage supplied to that particular pin! go figure.i had meant to email galaxy tech concerning this matter but never got around to it.just got too busy w/other stuff/projects. maybe someone else will chime in on this one???? Pin #4 on the Dx 2547 is powered. It was meant as a power supply for the Ranger Echo mics 117A etc. I was told by Galaxy that this pin should NOT be wired to any mic other than the stock mic or the 117's. This pin should be left as a blank. Also, the book on it that comes with the radio is wrong. |
