i had a connex 3300 HP ZX gave to me and people says its transmiting good real load but the receve has something wrong people out in the distance comes in real clear like they should but the people here local sounds distorded my question is why is it doing that and how can it be fixed

it is most likely that the agc circuit is bad in that radio. with low/distant signals it is not active, or barely active. with higher/closer signals it is active, and if it is defective it will show as distorted audio from the speaker. not a very common problem for this board, but one i have seen a few times.

depending on what part of the agc is bad, and to what degree, you have to watch taking it to many cb shops because they will not have the equipment to manifest the symptoms and then track it down. even with the right equipment(rf generator), it has to be used correctly or the problem still will not show itself and the shop will tell you there is nothing wrong with it. the rf gens amplitude has to be changed at a rapid rate(like a true signal) or else the agc will not be changing, and the signal will sound fine at any level. like i said, this is all depends on what part of the agc is bad, and just how bad it is.
