I have an older Grant XL that has no outpt on
the am band. The unit works fine on LSB and USB
but no rf or modulation on AM.After the radio has been off for a few hours it will show a reading on the Dosey for a vary short time and then will
drop off to zero, any suggestions for afix would be
appricated.

Sounds to me like the AM regulator is burnt!
(2sd1135)
Bottom cover off! radio facing you! its either bolted to the back right chassis! or on the back chassis with wires leading to the back right chassis.. If this is burnt it will play on SSB, but not on AM..

Ive put in a message for 307 as to the location of this part but he wont answer my post. Hope you get a reply. if you find out how to fix yours please tell me! Roger
