Just another thought, what is the VR9000 freq range after the mods ? Will it cover the CB 40 as well as the novice phone band 28.300-28.500 ? |

I believe the frequency range of the VR9000 is very similar to that of the SS3900 after modification. The VR9000 goes up to 28.305 MHz after the mod (I think, I'll double check this afternoon) and down to about where the SS3900 is listed as being able to go to. The VR9000 might go lower, again I'll double check.
I don't know if th VR9000 has a modification like the one mentioned in the thread for the SS3900 that will enable it to reach the 10 meter frequencies you want. Good question for 181 or 307!

It will after you jump the pll pins I got "e band" back. 25.615 - 28.505 |
