Radio Rx. is good, No Tx.
#CH5 the Axial Type 6.8 micro henery Coil Choke Burnt up! What can be used to replace it? I don't have another one. What caused it to burn up?
Also, when laying a finger across IC2,(the audio power amp) it puts out one HECK of a screech from the speaker! What does this indicate? The Audio Amp, Driver, and Final are new.
It has a "pop" sound when un-keying the mic. Thank you for your time.

ok, to put this simply, the only thing that can replace a 6.8mh coil is another 6.8mh coil.

as for what made it burn up, i'm not sure since i don't have the schem here for me to look at it. i don't even know where it is, but i'm taking an educated guess that it is somewhere around the driver or final. if that -is- the case, then whichever one the 6.8mh coil is associated is most likely shorted. in other words, either the driver or final is shorted.

if the audio ic 'screeches' when you touch around it, this indicates that it is working.
