How many wire connections?

AES carries several rotor wire cables, but only the major brands. You might try "www.allelectronics.com". They do carry the molex type plugs and cable. You may find something that will work. Even radio Shack has plugs that might connect.

I assume you did an Internet search on the Wilson WR-500?

Recount the pins and see if you don't have 8 small pins. The large hole is called a keyway and is slotted to line the pins up properly and does not make any connection. If you do have 8 pins I know where you can get something to try for about a dollar. I get them to make a jumper for the Browning receivers so I can operate them without the transmitter. If you know anybody with a Browning borrow their wire that connects the transmitter and receiver and see if it fits.

Hal:

My rotor is a Yaesu G-800DXA. It has a round waterproof metal connector at the rotor (7 pin) and a retangular plastic connector at the indoor controller (6 pin). I got the 8 wire cable (2 wires not used) and the rotor at Ham Radio Outlet (HRO). You might also try AES.

My manual for the Yaesu is about 20 pages long and covers the G-800DXA, G-1000DXA, and the G-2800DXA.

I will be glad to copy it and send you a copy if you e-mail me your address.

I'm finally on the same page as you I think. For some reason I was thinking about the plug on the control box. Anyway, I sent you pictures by email of a Wilson rotor and plugs and a couple drawings out of the Yaesu manual so I can see if I'm with you now. The plug on the Wilson control box is the one I use and the other does look like the Yaesu plug and maybe the drawings will help you decide if you should order one to try.

Thanks

Okay Hal:

I searched the Internet as I'm sure you did, and got 8 hits. All of them were people wanting parts for a Wilson WR500...
