Do they make a antenna matcher that I can use in my mobile that will handle a little power, say 600 more or less? |

WIldrat,
Just my 2 cent's worth.
If you are going to be pushing 600 more or less, I personally would "NOT" want to take a chance useing a matcher.

gotcha, I am not familar with matchers, never had to use one, I emailed wilson yesterday about using the 5000 rooftop in the 25 mhz range and he told me it wold not be efficient, so hence the question on the matcher. The reason for all the questions is because I have been using my 3900 for years as a base withmy antron, and now I want to put it in my 72 chevelle wagon, and since I want to do that, I would like to utilize the radios full potential, all freqs, FM.etc. Anyway I am just looking for suggestions, as I am not ready to install the radio yet, have not put the motor in the car yet. |

Wildrat buy a replacment whip for antenna and cut it to resonate in the 25 mhz band,hows that,a little inconvenient,but the proper way to do it.Bigbob |

You can talk with just about anybody in the U.S. with 100 Watts. If you keep it below 300 Watts, MFJ has a small mobile tuner (matcher) for up to 300 Watts under $110. You will be able to use a wide band width, but ...
