Hello. I have a Uniden PC122 which the squelch has gone out of. I injected a tone with the RF generator and watched the audio output on the scope.. Turning the squelch from low to high does drop the output audio but it will not squelch out the signal. The squelch range VR2 on the board has no effect.

I am assuming the main squelch transistor has probably gone out, but I can't seem to find a schematic for this radio. I matched it to a Realistic TRC-453 but the schematic I have on it doesn't label the transistors.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I had this problem on my 3900, there was a bad diode in the squelch circuit. I don't remember which one. I guess i should have taken my medication.

The PC 122 I believe is the same board as the Uniden Pro 810e. You might try searching for it.

I have looked for information on the 810e, the TRC-453, and crossed with the similar Cobra 146GTL. I can't seem to find a listing as to which transistor is the squelch transistor.
