Hi Tech.,I put this post in the wrong section here is a copy:
I have "smoked" some of the 2879 finals in the Messenger 1200 amp.I heard some time ago of a higher spec. direct replacement final for the 2879,same case but better output.Are they available and who market them cause if I have to replace some I might as well replace the lot with the better matched higher specked ones.

There is no direct replacement final you could use to achieve higher gain than the 2sc2879 that came in it.
