I own a 1991 Chevy Lumina 4 door. I just bought a Magnum 357DX and am wanting to run the power cables to the battery, as suggested by Magnum/RFLimited. Does anyone have any suggestions how to connect to the battery when all that is there are those darned annoying side-terminal hookups? I've considered using ring-terminals and placing this between the battery and the cable hookup, but there has got to be a solutation which allows me easier access should I want to remove/add something to the connection..Also I am hoping that this will filter out the little alternator noise that I get through the speaker, and put less strain on my alternator.. Any suggestions? PLEASE? HELP!!!!!!!!

747 Just my ideas; Trace both positive and negative wires to their opposite connections. One will be the starter solenoid and the other the block. Put your eye connections at these points. There are adopters that convert sidepost to top mount conectors or posts if you wish to call them that. Use these adaptors and connect the wires to the bolts that are there for clamping the large cables. You would need to remove the 5/16 headed bolt now used to mount the cable. It will just unscrew and the adapter will screw in where that came out. When attachiing the radio wires to the bolts mentioned, coat the connection with di-electric grease. I would also install an inline fuse on both the pos. and neg. wires near the battery. For the radio alone I would use 5 amp fuses. I hope this has been of some help. |

Well that's for a pack of 10, and that's also "list" price. I can get them much cheaper than that. |

You can also pick these up at most automotive stores or Service Dept at most auto dealers, as well as other places. Ford dealer installed them on our Plow Trucks for extra connections for Radios and Light's and I bought a set at Auto Zone for around $3.00 for our cars and other vehicles. Lon Tech808 |

tech181, i think you work with public service/safety. if so you are probably like me and have an account with tessco, so you would get them cheaper, but he will not. i also don't think he will need a 10 pack for one mobile. tech808, has the answer..go to auto zone and they will have the same thing in the battery section. |

Car stereo shops will also have them, but, may be more expensive. I agree with Tech808. AutoZone should have what ya need. |
