I have a Cobra 29 that has had the audio chip relaced in it and it still has no sound or recieve. meter dosn't move so i presume it is not recieving a signal since it dosn't have any sound. Can anyone give me any ideas. Thanks

Have you checked for cold solder joints? I have rarely seen a receive component die in a Cobra 29 they are built solid. I have on many occasions seen a cold solder joint just to the rear of the radio from the VCO.

Try removing the solder side cover and using a non-conductive object like the end of a sharpie marker cap press on the circuit board. Try pressing in different areas of the board and see if that brings the receive back. If it does then you just need to resolder the joints in the affected area.
