i have a 3900 an it will not clairify anyone on ssb either lsb or usb on the 26.000 band but when i go on reg 1-40 or the upper 27.000 band it works perfect.. just wondering if anyone knows why it will not work on the lower band

sounds like the clarifier is not the problem and the vco is. if the vco is out of whack in this band, then the clarifier will seem to have no effect (when it really does but the vco is screwed up). in other words, you need a complete alignment of that radio. |
