How are the bands arranged on the 95T? Where are the cb channels in the scheme of things? Does the 95T go more into Ham channels or more on the low side?

There are more channels below than above, but the standard CB channels are fairly mid-frequency after the mod. I have a chart of the frequencies and channels on my website here: http://sonnentag.net/galaxy_dx95t.html

VERY TRUE Bc,

And the MAGNUM S-9 is the ONLY Radio on the market that will allow you to put/program the bands you want where you want them located on the dial.

ANOTHER FIRST FOR THE RADIO WORLD and ONLY FROM MAGNUM INTERNATIONAL.

better than what? A 40 channel hand heald, then yeah! MUCH BETTER! Better than the S9 NO and I repeat NO. More power but not more radio! Just as in life, quality is always better than quantity.

mike, mike, mike...did you order your S9 yet-i'm sorry, i meant did you get your GALAXY to work right yet?
spoke with an authorized magnum repair man recently, regarding these flimsy knobs. he said yes, he's received & heard of TONS of complaints about them, & 1st hand has seen some that even he felt may have been a bit looser then he'd like to see. BUT he has never had to replace a broken switch yet! so, maybe there is nothing wrong with 'em.
receiver wise, i have yet to work on any radio that can outhear my S9-except my AR3500. i have put many a galaxy & 2950 on my bench & NOT even seen a signal that my S9 may hear with decent audio & see S-3 or better. thinking back to what i've worked on since i've had my S9, a connex 4800dxl, 148fgtldx, rci6900(all similarly designed radios) were the exports with the best receive-along with my delta force, which, however i feel has a bit too much white noise-though it hears great. as for connex 3300, superstar 3900, superstar 121, & too many galaxies to count, their receivers ALL failed to even compare to the S9, or other exports i named. i've had many a truck driver customer listen to my S9 & then his radio & notice the difference in noise & ask why he could hear a station on my S9 & not his galaxy. i've had quite a few go the tr296 or 148 route because of the superior receive vs their galaxy. honestly, i've had less then 5 people pickup S9's, because of price. they 'want' a decent radio for work, don't use it at home, so feel $320+ is a bit too much to spend. a true hobbiest would be more willing to part with the $$ then the casual user.
as for transmit. yeah, galaxy has some of the loudest audio i've heard, but when you do what is done to get it, i've seen SSB 'wobble' created, & just plain 'better' sound on AM. when left alone, they can sound fine both AM & SSB. but that's the problem-nobody leaves 'em alone. 40 watts, even when aided by the topgun, giving it a benefit of the doubt 3db gain from the compressor, so it appears like 80 watts IS STILL another 3 db away from the 150+ watts of the 95t, so the 95t SHOULD smoke the S9. audio quality-i've been told AM & SSB, that the S9 SOUNDS better then every radio i've had here to compare it with. yeah, i've been told many radios are LOUDER then the S9, galaxy among them, but the S9 always manages to outtalk 'em. my S9 can give my AR3500 a run for its money, & open some eyes when the receiving staion realizes there's a 100+ watt difference. but the 3500 does outtalk it. my buddies 2970 & antron 99 gets outtalked by my S9 & maco v5/8 regularly, not to mention the receiver difference.
now does any of this prove the S9 is the best? unfortunately, no, & for the casual user, a $79 connex or superstar may be more then sufficient. and what else does it mean when i STILL use my heavily modified grant xl & davemade in my mobile, & an hf rig, ic735, primarily as the base? again, nothing. BUT, having owned many galaxies in the past, & worked on many others, the S9 is MY PREFERENCE hands down. & if anybody was to ask me what radio to buy, i'd start off by suggesting the S9. i still feel it's a superior radio to anything else currently available.

I got the 95T mod done completely now, and she smokes guys. You know all the joking aside, both of these radios are top notch. What gets me though, is why can't either of them go to 12 meters? They can get close. And wouldn't you rather have those extra channels in lower frequencies than up above 30 mhz on the S-9?

Ranger covers 12 meters also. Look at the 6900FTB or the Connex 4800DXL. Both will cover 12 meters as will your Lincoln

bigbob-look at bc's picture. if i looked like him i'd...go get contact lenses. & at risk of offending a large part of the members here-he lives in I-N-D-I-A-N-A. if i lived in a place with a name like indiana-fuggettabouttit.

my tech ticket doesn't allow me to operate on 12 or 10 so under 25mhz & over 28 mhz is useless to me anyway. hopefully by the time the fcc makes their move i'll have my rf-expanded ic706mkIIg & all my pseudo-10 meter cb's will stay where they were meant to stay- 25-28 mhz!
