I have a chance to get a Cobra 142GTL for $100.00 I have heard it and seen it and it comes with the origanal box and manuals and other papers that came with it.I am just wanting something with AM & SSB regular 40 channels, does this sound like a fair deal for an older radio?

Thanks guys! I will pick it up Friday and will have it ready to go for the CEF net on sunday.Bulldog,I have a TUG8 and a Turner+2 that I am going to try on it and I would like to find a SPA-1 to put in it but I don't want to do the channel thing if I need to go up or down I will use the Delta or 2510.I figured $100.00 was a good price(my list of radios grows agian)now I need to get some better meters and maybe a frequency counter.

Sounds like a great price to me. Hope I run into that this spring on my yard sell ventures. I just purchased a Cobra 138 xlr, sears swr meter, and three way antenna switch for $71.00
I think that was a pretty good deal.
Please let us know how your radio works out I am very interested.
