Hello

Can anyone tell me what the length of coax used to
feeds each element of a super scanner is?{box to element}
The manual says 29’. That can’t be right . Someone said 3/8
wavelength ,modeling by VE3SQB http://www.qsl.net/ve3sqb/ says 1/4 wavelength.
Does anyone know what A.S. did?

Co786,A.S. manufactured several different versions of their switching network for the superscanner.One of the older versions I remember used a nine foot length of RG59(75ohm) to feed each element and a seven foot length matching stub that was switched into the grounded elements when in a directional mode.not sure what the impedance of the matching stub was.I do remember the later versions did not have any excess coax to coil up when the ant was assembled.If memory serves me,the boom lengh was just under or right at three foot in lengh so cables were probley around four foot long.hope this leads you in the right direction.73's
