Hey guys, I have a 949 that needs a channel selector replaced. So while I'm in there, I'm going to tune up the radio a little. Little being the key word here. I have the Galaxy Pot Chart (http://www.galaxyradios.com/959949adj.html).

Now I haven't tuned a radio before, so I'm seaking advice from you good folks. Would I turn VR14, VR16, and VR17 up? I won't turn them all the way up, but about 3/4 or so.

And just to make sure, would the radio have to be aligned? My knowledge would say no, but I'm just double checking!

Robbie

if it has already been 'peaked' then you shouldn't have to touch anything in there. if not then just tune the controls you listed until you see the results you want.
