I just got a used connex 3300hp and the unit seems to brodcast on a frequency of it own. The frequences are not correct and I see no pattern to them. Will not stay on frequency, Help !!

that means that the vco is out of whack but the pll is still locked. there are many reasons why this could be the case. it may be as simple as a cold solder connection in the vco/pll area. but if it is used, it could be that someone was 'golden screwdrivering' around in that radio. that could or could not be an easy fix.

sorry but without test equipment, this area would be very hard to walk someone through. you can try resoldering this area (the area on the bottom of the pcb that has the shields) and that could fix the problem.

Thanks, I have some test equipment, Scope, vtom,etc. Where can I get schemetics and alignment instructions??
