My knobs are loose on my radio, especially the power and mic gain (always adjusting them) is there a way to tighten those up any? any suggestions appreciated.

There should be a nut on the back of the knob behind the faceplate that holds the knob in and tightens it down against the bezel or faceplate. If they are all tight and the knob internalls themselves are loose then it is time to replace the knob(s) themselves. Look at the knob itself behind the plate and write your numbers down, Then go to your local Radio Shack etc. Be careful to solder the wires back on the replacement switch EXACTLY as they were on the original, A good Digital Camera is usefull for this. Take a picture before your work on the switch so you know where everything is. There you go.

if the nobs arnt loose its not a magnum
i had 3 brand new ones
they were are all loose
i think they use really cheap nobs |

Thanks for your replies. I get your point Jon666, I could live with it but having it in the truck and bouncing around all the time I'm always re-setting them. I'll give cuddlebear's idea a try this weekend and see what I can do.

Take the knobs off and take the metal inserts out and squeze it a little bit and rerplace should do the trick. |
