Hi guys. I bought a new 04 ext.cab chevy full size pickup. If this were your truck what antenna would you use? And how would you mount it? I currently have these options: wilson 500 mag mount, lil will mag mount, wilson antenna that screws into thread that would have to be mounted. Kinda like the antenna that you see on truck mirrors, only longer and with tuning tip on top, 102 " whip that I would prefer NOT to use. I would not want to drill holes, but on the one with tunable tip on top, what other choice would I have with it? I can drill holes in bed and mount it against back of cab but in the box, not against the cab. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance! Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |

I have an '00 Suburban and have a Wilson 1000 magmount up on the roof. Can't go wrong with that setup, and I don't hit a lot of things with the antenna. I am going to drill a hole for a roof mount 1000 someday soon. (I have 83,000 on this truck, so I don't care about the hole). When I had a pickup, I used a Firestik stakehole mount with a Wilson Silverload fiberglass antenna. I worked Europe as well as the US and other lands (when skip was rolling). That worked well also. Stakehole mounts are easy, clean and don't cause any damage to the truck. CEF 218 |

I have a 2003 F150 Super Crew 4x4 Full size 4 door that I run a Wilson 1000 Mag Mount on. So far I have found no other antenna that will out perform it. I have excellent performance with the Wilson 1000 Mag Mount's I use on everything. http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/checkitout/checkitout.cgi?catalogSTORE:CKIE:prodW30-05004+ Lon Tech808 |

Have my Wilson 1000 thru the roof. I tied the antenna back a bit with very heavy thread so I can drive in and out of my garage. I know you said NO HOLES, but even with a mag mount, it will be better on the roof. |

Wilson 1000,mag.mount is best for a new truck/ Wilson roof mount if you don't mind drilling the hole. |
