I just purchased an Expander 500 from Copper's and it was wired to work with a 2995DX. I hooked it to the radio and everybody I talk to says it has a BAD hum. They say it sounds like a 60c. hum. What do I need to do so this mic can be used.

Aircop12,I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggust the mic is more than likly picking up background noise, maybe a fan or something like that.if it trully is transmitting a 60cy hum then you may have a filter cap going bad in your power supply.

Ok, the only thing is that that I have (3) other mic's and none of them have this problem. I have the stock hand mic, astatic road devil, and a D104 Final Edition, all of these mic's work fine with no problems at all. ???
