When do you find the 2 meter band the most busy, or when do most of the guys talk in your area, are there a lot of 2 meter clubs in your town???

There is a 2 meter net every day at 1930 here, I am sure there are more, but I havent been up to Roswell in a while to talk to the Ham guys to see where.

KB,

Here in Bloomington on the 146.940 \ o-103.5 Repeater it is Generally Going to work in the Morning's, Lunch Time, and After work.

Also at from about 8:30 PM on Tuesday's for the Tuesday Night 9PM CIRC Net's, and on Club Meeting Night's. And testing day and most weekend's someone is on there.

I think the busiest here (local) is 7am to 8am, then again at 4pm to 5pm. Now if I have one of my wake up can't sleep days.... 3:30am.... I point the 5 element yagi toward SF bay (200 miles) and listen/talk to the commuters going to work.... only works before the sun comes up tho. Lose it after sunrise...

That is cool CA346 , I like the 2 meter, I found my HT scanner, I read the instructions and it is supposed to monitor 2 meter,10, and 6, but I do not hear them on 146640 when they are talking, I also dropped it to 146635, nothing , but it scans.

KB:

Have you tried connecting your outside antenna to the HT with a BNC-SMA adapter? It will make a noticable difference in reception.
