Does anyone know what parts control the beep length and tone on the Alan 9001 ?

how do i keep mine from zeroing the last digits when i use the mic controls

no real way ever listed about the zeroing problem. i just turn the main knob on mine and my emperor too. if you find it hey tell us later

Zero'ing problem fix: What I did on my Emporer (same as the Alan 9001) was followed Rogerbird's 2510 up/down mic buttons mod. This was a while ago and I don't have the radio anymore but as I recall, I didn't have to change anything in the mic. Instead, inside the radio, I re-routed the up/down mic wires to a 5v source. A very handy enhancement.
