Bruce's rule of older radios ..... KISS ( Keep It Stock Stupid ) Now not to say some mods are not called for like the CHIPSWITCH for a lincoln. Right now i have a cobra 29 that it took several lunch hours to get back to working ..... YEP the guy i got it from had it moded and PEAKED! Well after it was peaked it ran 3 watts @ 13.2 volts and the reciever was only good for .7uv ( READABLE )the guy who did the work told the owner it was running 25 WATTS!..... nice try. I have a grant LT im VERY happy with it as for who is better well i REALY like mine
