Got a president washington from a friend saying the receive suddenly got weak. Looked around and found the wires that used to go to the noise blanker were dangling loose and grounded against the chassis. Taped them up but the receive is still weak....Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you refering to receiver signal or the receive audio??? If you are talking about the audio being weak, try this.

Replace the 12 volt 220uf capacitor that is located next to D-65 with one that is rated at 16 volts. The receiver's audio should return.

Jeff.
