I've owned seven mobile and two base Galaxy radios and all but one after peak & tune have stingy meters on receive. Is there something pertaining to the peak & tune that changes the radio meter reading?

The wrong pot was most likely tweeked and then it was found out it does not affect anything and never set back to its original spot. The correct way to set the "S" meter is to inject 100uV , 0 Modulation and set the meter to "S-9". Thats it.

307,

Can you tell me how this is done? How do you inject 100uV into the radio with 0 modulation? are you talking about using another radio to inject that? I'm, all confused.
