Is it possible to run two mobile radio's and share one antenna? I know there are other variables involved pertaining to swr for the two radios, but I've been able to run these two radios seperately on the same antenna without having to adjust the swr of the antenna. This is why I ask, I have on radio that I've dropped my wattage to 2.5 watts to push a 100 watt linear and in doing so I decreased my distance when running barefoot, I have another radio that deadkeys at 5 watts and modulates at 34 watts that I want to use while I'm in Town. The other radio for my frequent trips out of town. Changing these out all the time has become a pain in the arse and I was wondering if there was some type of splitter that would allow me to run the two with one antenna? |

Yes you can run 2 Radios on the same antenna.

Those were pretty nice. I just use a 2 way Diawa Coax switch on mine (Kenwood TS520 and 2950)both going to a dipole. But the Euro CB switch looks pretty nice. |

That's exactly what I need with one exception, I need something that handles more wattage. The AS-100 only handles 100 watts of input and I'm pushing about 120 watts. |

Can an amp be run after the AS-100 on the antenna coax? That way the power of the amp dont matter cause it will run directly to antenna and not the AS-100 switch.

You would have to use it after the switch to be able to use it on both radios. That is the way I have mine set up, and it works fine.I have two switches in line, one to select the radio, one to select which antenna, or dummy load to use.

My AS100 is mounted after the radios and before the power source, then a coax switch after. Works very well. |
