i have heard people talk about a radio doing " 2 watts dead key and swinging 30" how do you adjust the dead key? my old royce does about a 7 dead key and swings to about 14 watts. can i improve the dead key?

How do you turn the dead key on low power on a Connex4800 DXL with Echo I have a MFJ-949-E Tuner that I can use Thanks Rich

I need to know how you can make the following radios dead key 1 to 2 watts and swing max. power?

1. Cobra 148 F Gtl Dx + with no Low Power VR 18.
2. Egale Sidewinder 400.
