I have a realistic 40ch walkie talkie that has a place to plug a antenna to it, Can I hook it up in place of my cb radio and use it with my amp and maco v 5/8 to see if I can talk DX?

the walkie talkie puts out 4watts on high and 1watt on low power.

I would like to give it a try but wanted to ask on the forum first because of all the experience
out there maybe some knows.

Airplane1,

If the antenna jack on the HT can take the coax you should be able to use it with the Amp as the Amp has no idea what kind of radio you are using.

Make sure your Coax is connected good & proper to the HT and you should be set to try it.
