in a radio or amplifier it is the transistor (or transistors) at the end of the line that provide your output power (or wattage) heavy duty being a relative term in that it supposedly can handle extra heat and wear and tear due to poor operating conditions such as high swr, long key down times, or in the case of amps too much input power from the radio

I'm not real sure what you are talking about but if you are refering to installing a linear type RF device into your radio, it will never work properly.

If it's power you are looking for, just check out all the amps that Copper has on their site. Many of them sell for well under $100. And it sure beats butchering up a good radio just for a few extra watts.

Just trying to make the radio last a little longer with heavy duty finals
This is for I talk a long time when keyed up
I have a fan on the radio now
I talk so long the mic gets warm...lol
