Hey 833. Thanks for the great article you wrote on the shortwave radio and how it came about and the comments about world war 1 & 2. Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |

You're WELCOME! I am working on a radio review next. Then part 2 of that series you just mentioned. Too much stuff to do, so little time. |

Tech 833. I just love this shortwave area that was opened. I am kind of a newcomer to shortwave and have fully enjoyed it. Only problem is there is way too many frequencies out there to even sit down and try and get it all in. I do have a few questions regarding shortwave though. I have a simple scanner discone antenna used for a scanner that I use for my shortwave(realistic DX-300) and it seems to work really well but is there any other antenna's that work good besides running a wire out the window. I also am curious if height is an issue when setting up a shortwave antenna. Thanks!!!!!!!!!! |

833, thanks for the new articles. I have a 1973 Allied Radio ( are you old enough to remember that name?)that is a short wave receiver with several bands, including the long band. After reading your article, now I have a better understanding of longwave band. Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |
