GOT A MM5 COMEING.. I GOT A QUAD MAG MOUNT.. THE MM5 HAS THE GPK.. GROUNDING? SHOULD I RUN ANOTHER GROUND TO THE CHASIS OR SHOULD IT BE GOOD ENOUGH.. I ONLY RUN 300 WHISKEYS.. AN ONLY SSB OPERATOR HEAR.. SO I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD GROUND THE BASE OR NOT?

any extra ground is better than no ground !!!
thats what i go by anyway !!!

as long as it's not too long. on truck w/a roof rack, say, ground from mount to roof racks' mounting screws, then make sure (w/ohmeter) screws are grounded to battery. always make sure grounds are GOOD-battery to chassis, to body, to engine, to alt bracketry, etc. SHORT, SHORT, SHORT. if it doesn't have a roof rack or way to keep extra ground wires SHORT, you might be better off not doing it. then again, i'd prefer not to use magnet mount...
