I have a Galaxy 44, and was wondering if anyone has or knows of any info I can get on the parts needed to do the dual final conversion? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lasthighlander

There is a dual final kit available for these radios but at the moment, where they can be purchased escapes me.

Perhaps someone else on the forum may be more helpful.

Lasthighlander .....

The place that used to sell the kit got busted by the FCC. I understand you want more power out of the radio but its a lot of work for ONE HALF "S" UNIT. Get a small amp and you'll get much MORE bang for $49 bucks.

Thanks Bruce and Jeff,, was kind of weighing out the options and figured I would post it and see what anyone thought. Thanks for the input.

it's not the kill, but the thrill of the chase....'i've got a dual final whatever and you don't, nah nah nah nah nah!'
did it to a cobra 29 for the novelty of it, also an ORIGINAL(old!) cobra 148gtl-DX (export), but back in 1984 or whenever it was nobody knew what 'export' was so they didn't get it anyway. but it sure made my maco 200w base amp smoke!
