By the looks of the knobs, I would swear it's a Uniden radio with radioshack labeling on it. Also, the contours of the chrome face screams Uniden..

Can anyone confirm this?

If your talking about a newer one, I would highly doubt that it is uniden!!! Have you seen the inside? If it's the one I have seen (with the rocker switches) then, no way is it uniden. Sorry, it's actually a big pyle, if you ask me, no offense.
DX, To my knowlege Uniden hasn't made CB's for RS in many years. Many many Many years in fact.

Tell me which model and a close age in years, we are speaking of and I'll try to research and find out who made the radio. The Radio Shack with the chrome faceplate doesn't give one much to do research on. Although I do know that for many of years Uniden did build for Radio Shack, I have several in my vintage collection that I know for sure are Uniden. As of lately most of the radios that Radio Shack has offered do have the Uniden faceplate with the Radio Shack name on them. IE: the Radio Shack Realistic TRC-449 looks nothing like it's Cobra and Uniden counter part. The UPD-858 Uniden Grant and Cobra 138XLR, but they are one in the same radio on the inside. If you look at my pictures under post your pictures here, you will see my Vintage Cobra 138XLR and Radio Shack Realistic TRC-449 of which I'm very proud to be the owner.

I'm referring to the current offering on their website - catalog number 21-1576 ... The catalog doesnt list a TRC number, but in the picture the best I can read is TRC-447.

747, Joy joy the catalog #21-1576 is 100% Uniden, top of the line. Same radio as the Cobra 29, for an AM only mobile it doesn't get any better at that price. Glad to be of help, myself I would call Copper they might beat that price 1-800-626-6343. Also unlike Radio Shack, Copper Electronics are radio people and have great customer care.
