Would I be better off getting the a Galaxy Melaka for around $125.00 or a 2547 new for around $280.00? What will each swing if opened up? Which will have the better recieve?

Yes we own the 696F SSB Base and have been 100% Completely Satisfied with the Performance.
Go to the Search Area to the LEFT of the Forum here and type in Texas Ranger 696F SSB Base Radio and start reading a LOT of comments.
