I just bought a REAL New in the Box Super Scanner antenna from a friend who bought two of them back in the mid 70's. My question is this. Being limited in space for antenna towers this is what I want to do. My plan is to put the Super Scanner at the top of a 50ft. tower, then mount a Diamond X510 dualband omni above on the same mast.
My question is will the two antennas being so close be a problem or are the frequencies far enough apart to work ok. Thanks for your ideas, 73 and God bless, John

They will work as bruce said, the lower antenna almost acts like a ground to the higher vertical

The SWR on the S.S. will be a little higher than it would be without another antenna in the middle. Your dual band antenna will work horribly unless you get the base above the S.S. elements.

Best bet- side mount the dual band antenna below the S.S.
