a friend brought his 520 over to see why he cant get out? it was working fine . and now it won't move the mod meter or only do 1/2 watt it sends a signal out but weak . i checked his swr's and the coax must be bad we tried three antennas and checked the same 3 on all channles. thats must have been what happened to the 520 can any one tell me what to change to fix it or look for anyway. thanks cmm |

Not to sound crude but the 520 to me is a throw away radio. The parts would most likely cost more then the radio costs new. save yourself time and grief and tell your friend to look for another radio. Just my opinion... |

thanks my 2995 did the same thing i thought that might be what was wrong with it. so i was going to fix the 2950 and give the 520 back i told him i would sell him my 2950 if i get it fexed thanks again cmm |
