My Dead Key went from 75 to 25 on the KLV meter.
Swing was 300 when dead key was 75.
Swing is now 600 plus with dead key at 25.
2 watts in-put
My other in line SWR/Power meter shows 75 watts dead key (where it should be)and radio reports remain good, they say i still sound like i alway do.
does this sound like the meter in the KLV is not working right or could this mean that something messed up in the Amp.??? |

Yes, the meter would be my first guess too. I've never seen one that read correctly anyways.
As long as you know that your external meter is fairly true, that is the one you should be paying attention to anyways.
RF power meter-readings on linears mean absolutely nothing to me. I will admit though, the meters do look rather impressive on the face of the linears.
