Hi, Hope someone can help, when I key my ranger 696f mobile the it makes a load noise like a popping sound or thats the best way I can describe it.What would cause that?

It did`nt do that befor, it just started. also it only puts out about .8-1.5 watts on SSB. 3watts on AM and it`s bran new from sealed box.

I dont know if older radios even if new are under warrentee or not, any segestions?

No, Nothing is cliped, I know because I just got it new in box from cb shop. the box was sealed and the tamper proof sticker is on radio.
I hope the warrentee is still good even if it a older radio but just bought new.
The radio only puts out about 1 watt SSB and 2.5 or so AM out of the box + it transmits a bit off frequency.

The poping noise just started about 2weeks after I started useing it.
Thanks for your input
