I have a Galaxy 959 and have never had any luck with sideband on it. According to the frequency counter I am off frequency. (CH19 27.186) The clarifier won't adjust it. Will only move up to 27.187. Is there an adjustment I can do or does it need to go to the shop? |

I don't know if this is too late for you, but maybe this will help someone else. I have a friend that has one of these radios. When it's cold, his does the same thing. You didn't say anything about that, I know, but I'm just adding that in. When it gets warm, it works perfect. I don't know why, so I can't offer a "change this or that" to you. I think, and I'm no Tech, that maybe if you could source out a crystal heater from some high dollar HAM rig and install it, that maybe that could cure your problem. That is if it's from cold and not something else. |
