My mobile 29 LTD will key up and not modulate while its hooked up in my car. On the bench it modulates just fine. So now what do i check. My other radios work fine in the mobile.

Did you check your Mic wiring? Also you may want to check that the screws on the mounting bracket are not going in to far into the radio or that when they are screwed in that they are not touching anything inside the radio causing it to short out somewhere.

Checked the mounting screws this morning. Nothing touching there. I will try another mic today and let you know.

Found a bad trace on the board today near the final. Cleaned it up and repaired and all is well now. Thanks for the input everyone.
